A parenting plan is simply a plan for your children. It outlines where they will be and when, and it covers decision-making responsibilities. Who will make the important decisions regarding their healthcare, education, and religious upbringing? These are significant parenting choices. Will you make these decisions together? Will you divide them, or will one parent take the lead?
The parenting plan also addresses time-sharing: where the children will be during weekdays, weekends, holidays, vacations, special days like birthdays, and more. In short, a parenting plan organizes both the children’s time and the way important decisions in their lives are made.
